And this is only one company&#8217;s share&#8230;<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">In this era of video games, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.waterfootprint.org\/Reports\/Hoekstra-2012-GamesRoleplaysWaterManagement.pdf\" class=\"mtli_attachment mtli_pdf\" title=\"Gaming can help teach water management\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"pdf\">new study<\/a> says that computer-supported games and role plays can help teach water management to students and city planners.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">Use this EPA <a href=\"http:\/\/www.epa.gov\/watersense\/our_water\/be_the_change.html#tabs-3\" title=\"EPA Calculator for water savings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">WaterSense Calculator<\/a> to estimate the water, energy, and money savings by installing WaterSense products.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">Finally, someone is thinking: <a href=\"http:\/\/austin.ynn.com\/content\/top_stories\/288383\/company-uses-reclaimed-water-for-highway-project\" title=\"Reclaimed water used for a lower quality need\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Construction company uses reclaimed water<\/a> for highway project instead of using drinking water from the nearest hydrant.  Brillant and probably cheaper for the construction company.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">Nob Hill Haus became <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecohomemagazine.com\/solar-power\/keep-it-simple.aspx\" title=\"A Graywater First\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">first house ever permitted for graywater system<\/a> in Los Angeles.  The lack of graywater reuse adoption in the U.S. is just baffling.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">Cities should <a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2012\/09\/15\/lets_swim_to_work\/\" title=\"More eyes on the waterways - more caring\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">promote recreation in urban waterways<\/a> to their citizens.  More promotion will hopefully bring more attention to pollution in the waterways.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">Portland has never fluoridated its water but will start <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/09\/13\/us\/portland-approves-adding-fluoride-to-water-by-14.html\" title=\"Fluoride to be added to Portland water\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">adding fluoride to its water in 2014<\/a>. Fluoridation has become controversial due to its adverse health effects.  I bet Portland don&#8217;t have more dental cavities than others.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">Gutter manufacturer launches a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gutterhelmet.com\/rainwater-harvesting.cfm\" title=\"Rainwater harvesting system problem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">rainwater harvesting microsite<\/a> but the picture on front page has a major no-no.  Can you spot it?<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">Homeowners in Harare, Zimbabwe, were asked to <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/zimbabwe-city-residents-synchronize-toilet-flush-122626519.html\" title=\"Synchronized toilet flush to unblock sewers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">flush their toilets at a specified time<\/a> in order to help unblock sewers after severe water rationing period.<\/li>\n<li class=\"ws_tweet\">Intel and Dow spend millions on public infrastructure upgrades that affect the bottom line at their facilities. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.environmentalleader.com\/2012\/09\/20\/intel-dow-cut-water-use-spend-millions-on-public-infrastructure\/\" title=\"Spending money for their bottom lines but also for the public good\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Private funding for public infrastructure.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Video of the Week<\/h3>\n<p>#FirstWorldProblems is a hashtag that has gone viral recently with the addition of this video to the meme and it is making people mad.  The #FirstWorldProblems initiative was created for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.waterislife.com\" title=\"Non-profit hoping to bring clean water to everyone\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">WATERisLIFE<\/a>, a non-profit organization addressing the lack of clean water for people around the world.  People say that this video, by using the #FirstWorldProblems hashtag, reveals a lack of sensitivity or awareness about serious social and health concerns and the ways that social media users can help alleviate real problems. <\/p>\n<p>Really?? I think this video is great since it points out the trivial things in our #FirstWorldLives and puts them into context.
