renewable energy roundup bannerDo you want to be surrounded by the latest in green and renewable technology? Do you want to learn how you can essentially take your home off-grid? Come and join us at the 13th annual Renewable Energy Roundup in Fredericksburg, Texas from September 27th to 29th, 2013. We would love for you to come out this year and check out the Roundup. The organizers have really worked hard to bring in a bunch of new exhibitors and speakers in order to provide a tremendous amount of educational value for you.

IWS will be there, preaching #Rainwater!

IWS has been involved with the Roundup for 6 or so years. We absolutely love the atmosphere at the Roundup. As an attendee, you can learn about almost every type of green and renewable technology for your home. There will be solar, wind, geothermal, and rainwater companies represented there. In addition, there will be many home builders and related companies.

Another great part of the Roundup is the wealth of speakers that they present for you. This year they will have over 40 super-awesome speakers and other panel sessions. I know the speakers are super-awesome because I am one of them. I will be speaking on Friday, September 27th at 5:00pm in the Green Tent.

My topic this year will be:
Drought and a Water Scarce Future: How It Will Affect You and What You Can Do About It
With the possibility of lingering drought, exploding urban populations, and increasing water usage, how can we ensure the availability of our future water supplies? Our indoor water conservation opportunities are getting close to the point of diminishing returns so we need to find other water conservation opportunities in order to stretch our water supplies. The presentation will examine current water use technologies within our built environment and describe opportunities for water conservation. The presentation will focus on the areas of water conservation that remain untapped in our built environment: rainwater harvesting and graywater reuse. These technologies are being used effectively in other countries to reduce household water use. Find out how these technologies can be implemented into your home or business.
