ARCSA Annual Conference Recap
The annual ARCSA conference held in Universal City, California earlier this month was a success! The American Rain Catchment System Association brings together professionals from the rainwater installation and stormwater management fields from all over the continental USA. Chris Maxwell-Gaines, founding partner of IWS, has been involved with promoting rainwater through ARCSA for many years, and was proud to be a keynote speaker at the event.

Residential Project of the Month: Limestone and mortar block wall for drainage in North Loop
To supplement an existing french drain system that was not keeping up with the heavy rains this year, we installed a 50 feet of mortared limestone block curb. The wall helps convey runoff from the neighboring property, preventing it flowing against the homeowner’s foundation.
Commercial Project of the Month: Extensive Drainage at Harmony Public School in Cedar Park
The parking lot of this Cedar Park school has a higher elevation than the school itself, causing flooding inside the entryway. To remedy this, we installed a number of drainage solutions, including over 250 feet of drainage pipe to allow stormwater to drain into a basin system instead of entering the school. The students are back to school this fall high and dry!
