Staffing Update – New Construction Manager
Please join us in welcoming Daniel Coop as he steps up to his new role with IWS as our Construction Manager! Daniel has over 8 years combined experience installing rainwater systems. He first dipped his toes into the rainwater world as a summer job while at college, and quickly learned the ropes. He went on to work as a contractor installing systems, and joined the IWS system full-time in 2024. Daniels’ know-how in construction combined with his natural leadership skills polished from his time in the army led him to quickly become a crew leader, expanding his skillset to graywater and drainage systems. Earlier this summer he was asked to step up as our new Construction Manager, keeping our busy construction calendar moving and ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner and to utmost customer satisfaction! Daniel is already doing a great job in his new role and will continue to take IWS projects to the finish line!

This customer was experiencing stormwater intrusion from a cold joint along the house – our crew regraded a 200 square foot area along their house and installed river rock to keep grading in place, as well as re-routing their nearest downspout away from the problem area to a drainage outlet.

Service Tips
Adding a floating filter to your potable rainwater system can increase the quality of your water, as well as increase the lifespan of your filters. The floating filter is installed inside the tank and allows your pump to pull rainwater from higher in your tank, as opposed to the bottom of the tank where debris and sediment settles. Please note that the tank does have to be empty to install the tank, so consider scheduling this service at the same time as a tank cleaning.
