Austin Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Conservation

Residential
Hose-end Sprinklers: two days per week – midnight to 10 a.m. and/or 7 p.m. to midnight
Automatic Irrigation: one day per week – midnight to 10 a.m. and/or 7 p.m. to midnight (Residential customers may also water a second day with a hose-end sprinkler)

Commercial / Multi-family / Public Schools
Hose-end Sprinklers or Automatic Irrigation: one day per week – midnight to 10 a.m. and/or 7 p.m. to midnight

Bee Cave Water Restrictions

The City of Bee Cave is not a utility provider. Service is made available and provided by other, various utility agencies depending upon the subdivision, location and service area.

West Travis County Public Utility Agency (WTCPUA)

Current Stage: Voluntary

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Odd Numbered Addresses: Wednesdays and Saturdays, 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight
  • Even Numbered Addresses: Thursdays and Sundays, 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight

Commercial (including large landscapes and HOA common areas) Water Days and Hours:

  • Mondays and Fridays, 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight

Travis County Water District 17

Current Stage: Stage 1 Mandatory

Customers limited to 2 days per week

  • Residential: May 1 – September 30
  • Commercial: Year Round

Automated Irrigation Water Schedule

  • Allowed to water BEFORE 10:00 a.m. and/or AFTER 7:00 p.m. on your designated days

Your days based on address ending number:

  • Monday & Thursday: 0, 1, 2, 3 (Residential)
  • Tuesday & Friday: 4, 5, 6 (Residential) and Commercial / HOAs
  • Wednesday & Saturday: 7, 8, 9 (Residential)
  • Sunday: No automated systems allowed

Note: Customers that utilize automated systems may NOT water the same landscape areas using
hose end sprinklers; only hand held hose if additional water is required.

Hose End Sprinkler: Any Day

  • Note: Only for Customers who do not have automated irrigation systems
  • Allowed any day, no watering between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Buda Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Year-Round Water Use Allowances and Restrictions

  • Irrigation with hose-end sprinklers and automatic sprinkler systems is prohibited between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
  • Irrigation with hand-held bucket, hand-held hose, soaker hose and drip irrigation systems is allowed on any day and at any time.
  • Irrigation of vegetable gardens is allowed on any day and at any time.

Water use stages are defined in City of Buda Ordinance No. 2012-01.

 

Cedar Park Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Twice Weekly

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Even Number Addresses: Thursday and Sunday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Odd Number Addresses: Wednesday and Saturday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

Commercial Watering Days and Hours:

  • Tuesday and Friday

Drip irrigation is permitted at any time.

Dripping Springs Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 2 Water Restrictions

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Even Number Addresses: Thursday and Sunday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Odd Number Addresses: Wednesday and Saturday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

Commercial Watering Days and Hours:

  • Tuesday and Friday

Georgetown Water Restrictions

Current Stage: No Restrictions

For irrigation systems and hose-end sprinklers, landscape irrigation will be limited to a schedule based on the last digit of your address number:

  • No irrigation allowed on Mondays.  Violations of these restrictions may result in fines.
  • Odd addresses: Tuesday, Thursday and/or Saturday
  • Even addresses: Wednesday, Friday, and/or Sunday

Watering with a hand-held hose or bucket can be done any day, as well as other outdoor uses such as washing a vehicle or filling a swimming pool.

Watering with a sprinkler or irrigation system is not recommended during the day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Horseshoe Bay Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 2 Water Restrictions

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Even Number Addresses: Thursday and Sunday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Odd Number Addresses: Wednesday and Saturday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

Commercial Watering Days and Hours:

  • Tuesday and Friday

Drip irrigation is exempt from Horseshoe Bay’s Stage 2 landscape irrigation restrictions. While Horseshoe Bay water customers are free to operate drip systems at any time, the City asks that they avoid running the system from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. to minimize evaporation.

Hutto Water Restrictions

Kyle Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 2 Water Restrictions

Customers may water (irrigate):

  • By handheld hose, or handheld bucket at any time during the day or night.
  • By a hose and sprinkler, a soaker hose or drip irrigation from midnight to 10 am on their designated outdoor water use day, and again from 8 pm to midnight on the same day.
  • By permanently installed automatic irrigation system from 12 Midnight to 10 am on their designated outdoor water use day.

Washing automobiles, trucks, trailers, boats, or other vehicle or mobile equipment:

  • Only on customer’s designated water use day.
  • Only from 12 midnight to 10 am and again from 7 pm to 12 midnight on designated day(s).
  • Washing must be done with a handheld bucket or handheld hose equipped with a
    positive shutoff nozzle.

Items and actions, which are prohibited during this stage of drought management:

  • Using automatic fill valve to add water to an outdoor swimming or wading pool or pond.
  • Charity car washes.
  • Washing sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, streets, patios or other paved areas, except to alleviate an immediate health or safety hazard.

Watering is prohibited between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. unless being done by hand.

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Odd-Numbered Addresses: Wednesday and/or Saturday
  • Even-Numbered Addresses: Thursday and/or Sunday

Commercial & Multi-family Watering Days and Hours:

  • Tuesday and/or Friday

Current Stage: Stage 1 Measures

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Odd Number Addresses: Wednesday & Saturday, 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.
  • Even Number Addresses: Thursday & Sunday, 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.
  • No watering between 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Commercial Watering Days and Hours:

  • Tuesday & Friday, 7 p.m. to 10 a.m.

  • Car washing is allowed according to a twice-a-week schedule.

  • Tuesday and Friday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

Manor Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 1

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Even Number Addresses: Thursday and Sunday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Odd Number Addresses: Wednesday and Saturday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • No watering on Monday
  • Watering by hand is allowed on any day at any time.
  • Car washing is allowed according to a twice-a-week schedule.

Commercial Watering Days and Hours:

  • Tuesday and Friday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

New Braunfels Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 1

Residential and commercial customers are allowed to use a sprinkler or irrigation system one day per week based on the last digit of their address as long as they do so before 10 a.m. and after 8 p.m.

Residential & Commercial Watering Days per Last Digit of Address:

  • 0 or 1: Monday
  • 2 or 3: Tuesday
  • 4 or 5: Wednesday
  • 6 or 7: Thursday
  • 8 or 9: Friday

Watering with a hand-held hose, bucket, soaker hose, or a drip irrigation system is allowed any time on any day.

Other items enforced during Stage 1:

  • Outdoor fountains and waterfalls are prohibited
  • Installation of new landscaping requires a variance confirmation from the NBU Environmental Affairs Division
  • Vehicle washing at home is limited to your watering days and over a pervious surface.

Pflugerville Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 2

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Even Number Addresses: Thursday and Sunday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Odd Number Addresses: Wednesday and Saturday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • No watering on Monday

Commercial Watering Days and Hours:

  • Tuesday and Friday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

Round Rock Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 1

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Even Number Addresses: Thursday and Sunday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Odd Number Addresses: Wednesday and Saturday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • No watering on Monday
  • Watering by hand is allowed on any day at any time.

Commercial Watering Days and Hours:

  • Tuesday and Friday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

San Marcos Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 1

Residential & Commercial Watering Days per Last Digit of Address:

  • 0 or 1: Monday
  • 2 or 3: Tuesday
  • 4 or 5: Wednesday
  • 6 or 7: Thursday
  • 8 or 9: Friday

The following restrictions also apply:

  • Waste of water is prohibited. Waste includes allowing water to puddle or run off a property, operating a sprinkler system with broken or misaligned heads, and failing to repair leaks.
  • Irrigation with hose-end sprinklers is allowed only one day per week on the designated weekday from midnight to 10 am and 8 pm to midnight.
  • Irrigation with automatic sprinkler irrigation systems is allowed only one day per week between the hours of 8:00 p.m. on the designated weekday and 8:00 a.m. on the following day.
  • Irrigation with soaker hose and drip irrigation system is allowed on any day and at any time.
  • Irrigation with hand-held bucket or hand-held hose is allowed on any day and at any time.
  • Irrigation of plants in inventory at commercial nurseries is allowed on any day and at any time.
  • Irrigation of vegetable gardens using hand-held bucket, hand-held hose, soaker hose or drip irrigation is allowed on any day and at any time.
  • Charity car washes are prohibited unless held at a commercial car wash.
  • Non-commercial vehicle washing is allowed one day per week and must be done using a hand-held bucket or a hand-held hose equipped with a positive shutoff device.
  • Commercial vehicle washing is allowed on any day and at any time.
  • Swimming pools located outdoors should be covered when not in use to minimize evaporative losses.
  • Operation of non-recirculating aesthetic water features is prohibited.
  • Washing of impervious surfaces is allowed only one day per week.
  • Foundation watering using drip system, soaker hose or hand-held hose is allowed only one day per week.

Sunset Valley Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Conservation

Residential Watering Days and Hours:

  • Even Number Addresses: Automatic Sprinklers of Thursday and Hose-end Sprinklers on Sunday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Odd Number Addresses: Automatic Sprinklers on Wednesday and Hose-end Sprinklers on Saturday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.
  • Watering by hand is allowed on any day at any time.

Commercial Watering Days and Hours:

  • Friday, Before 10 a.m. and after 7 p.m.

Aqua Water Supply Corporation Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Voluntary Water Conservation

Aqua members are requested to voluntarily limit the irrigation of landscaped areas to the following schedule:

Before 10:00 A.M. and after 7:00 P.M. on your designated watering days:

Addresses ending in an EVEN number: Monday and Thursday
Addresses ending in an ODD number: Tuesday and Friday

Aqua members are urged to apply no more than one-inch of water to the landscape on your watering day. Water usage for livestock is exempt.
