Bastrop Water Restrictions

Current Stage: Stage 1

Voluntary Water Use Restrictions

Water customers are requested to voluntarily limit the use of water for non-essential purposes and to practice water conservation adhering to the prescribed restrictions listed below:

Automatic Irrigation Landscape (including lawns) Watering Schedule

  • Between the hours of midnight to 7 a.m. and/or 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On Your Designated Watering Day

  • Addresses ending in an EVEN number – Sundays and Thursdays
  • Addresses ending in an ODD number – Saturdays and Wednesdays

Landscape watering may take place at any time if by means of a hand-held hose, faucet-filled bucket or watering can of five (5) gallons or less, or drip irrigation system.

Minimize or Discontinue Water Use for the Following Non-Essential Purposes

  • Use of water to wash down sidewalks, walkways, driveways, parking lots, tennis courts, or other hard-surfaced areas;
  • Use of water to wash down buildings or structures for purposes other than immediate fire protection;
  • Use of water for dust control;
  • Flushing gutters or permitting water to run or accumulate in any gutter or street; and
  • Failure to repair a controllable leak(s) within a reasonable period after having been given notice directing the repair of such leak(s).
