Pflugerville Rainwater Rebate

This rebate program is for the purchase and installation of rainwater harvesting systems. Rainwater harvesting is a great way to lower irrigation costs and stress on Pflugerville’s water system. By installing a rainwater harvesting system today, you are helping conserve water for the future.

Program details:

• Purchase a rain barrel and receive a rebate of $0.50 per gallon of storage capacity and 50% of the purchase price of pad material, overflow, flush first and pump to distribute the water.
• Rebate is 25% of the cost of gutters, as part of a rainwater collection project. Does not include
  gutters not connected to rainwater harvesting tank.
• Your total rebate amount will not exceed $600 per water account.
• This program is only available to direct Pflugerville Water Customers.

Rainwater Barrel or Tank Requirements:

• Must be a new system or an expansion of an existing system. Used or self-made barrels are not
  eligible.
• Must be dark-colored or have an internal liner to prevent sunlight from penetrating the tank.
• Must have screens on opening to prevent debris, insects, or animals from entering the barrel.
• Must have a pipe to direct the overflow water away from the base to prevent erosion and
  localized flooding.
• If barrel is made of galvanized metal or wood, it must have an interior liner to prevent rusting or
  rotting.
• Barrels must be level on a pad site made of concrete, gravel, or sand.
