“With something as important as flood damage and it’s potential costs and headaches for you, why not make sure your investment or your client’s investment is not in jeopardy.”

“Home inspectors are versed in making sure the actual building is up to code.  While they can determine issues with a house foundation or from past flooding, they are not experienced in determining the cause of the issues when they are related to outdoor stormwater management issues.  In addition they are not experienced in determining the best solution for that particular issue.”

Set my base charge at $300.
You get an engineer’s inspection report with recommendations and cost ranges, if necessary.

If your client purchases the home and uses our company to implement the drainage improvements, then they will receive a discount equal to the cost of the inspection report.

?? We will test any underground piped drain system to the best of our ability at the time of the inspection. ??

Put up inspection costs
Price applies to properties within a 35 mile “mapped” route range from IWS office.
Additional cost for mileage are as follows: $10 per mile (one way) past 35 mile “mapped route” range from IWS office.
Have two types of reports
Drainage inspection report = $350
Drainage investigation report = “Per proposal”
Most of the time we will be able to provide a cost estimate that incorporates the time to design the correct plan of action and the installation costs.
In some cases though, we may need more information to determine the exact cause of the drainage problem which will dictate the correct course of action to take in fixing the problem.  In these cases, we will provide a cost proposal for the time to perform the necessary engineering assessment.  From the results of this study, we will create the cost estimate for the installation of the appropriate remediation work.  You will also have the option to <link to drainage design page>purchase the engineered plans</link> for the remediation work if you want to get other bids for the work.

The Importance of Drainage System Maintenance

Rainwater collection systems can be simple but they can also be very complicated, depending on the design and the components used. It is important to service and maintain the rainwater harvesting system on a regular basis. This will ensure that the system is operating effectively and efficiently in order to prolong the life of the system. Failure to maintain the system will lead to a loss of system efficiency.

Rainwater harvesting systems are mechanical systems that have moving parts which require maintenance. An effective schedule of cleaning the various rainwater filters within the system, servicing the pumps, and calibrating any rainwater management equipment ensures the effective operation of the rainwater harvesting system. This in turn allows for the optimization of municipal water savings.
